If you interpret a girl rejecting you to mean that you’re fundamentally a bad person, then you’re going to be depressed and insecure, because dating and relationships are going to involve some level of rejection as inevitable. This also can cause you to become bitter/misanthropic because you think “well she’s saying there’s something wrong with me, which means she’s insulting me, which means she hates me, so I should hate her”.

Idk if this post makes sense but what I’m trying to say is that you have to be able to be confident in yourself even if you don’t have success in dating.

This is exactly what I’m talking about. Yes some rejections are because you don’t have good looks. Interpreting “she doesn’t like how I look” to mean “she thinks I don’t deserve love” is just giving you reasons to hate yourself. It’s like if you ran a restaurant and someone doesn’t like the food, and so you think “he wants the restaurant to go out of business because it doesn’t deserve money.” Like no dumbass he just didnt like the food there.

Exactly and I wouldn’t blame anyone for feeling that way, but it’s not a helpful feeling to have. If I think “well all of my critics are just LAME BITCHES who ONLY EAT at the OTHER restaurant”, that’s not really going to help me improve my cooking. It also wouldn’t really be fair to those critics if you took it out on them.
