Humans are naturally attracted to people they percieve as within their SMV-range (within conventional hypergamous standards ie. 70th percentile male and 55th percentile female with mutual attraction). This is a evolution-mediated technique to maximize reproductive chances.

For this reason, the people you find particularly attractive (as in a crush-like attraction, not some objective analysis) are much more likely to be attracted to you than you think.

TO DEMONSTRATE THIS POINT: It's common that people develop feelings for others when they are aware that the person they are attracted to may be less objectively attractive as others around them. In high school, you probably had a crush on a girl while knowing that people you DIDN'T have some obsession with were actually more attractive. This was because you subconsciously percieved her attraction to be very slightly less or equal to your own.

This only happens when u get no pussy, yeah if you have 0 girls and 1 show you love, that all u got, you either have it or not, and due to our reproductive need, if she is not super ugly or weird, u may pick her, but this dont apply do the average women. By nature women have simps, its literally parental investment(meaning that women need 9months for the baby while men 1 minute, therefore they are more important in the reproduction and men are the sex/gender who needs to show and be the good guy actively) , so a out of 10 guys, a women would pick the best looking one. This apply to average guys not to average girls

you are attracted to people (only in like an involuntary crush-like way) who you neither mog nor get mogged by

that gives you a much higher chance of success

nope, this is not mainstream dating advice

this is simply recognition of evolutionary patterns and how we're designed to maximize reproductive success by undervaluing (or ignoring) those who are significantly more attractive than us

Women want to date men who are a higher smv than them though
