I think it is only a small percentage of commenters that do this but they are very prolific. If Youtube premium allowed me to see the comment history of people on youtube I would totally get it just for that feature. My theory is there are a group of adult downnies that have farmed prior comments with the most up votes, and are just duplicating them for the ego boost of getting upvoted. And they generally look like this...
