Your brain doesn't have an inbuilt filter or a way of assured self-destruction when survival is impossible. And it goes beyond just "biological self preservation" which is just biogeek slang for equating the human body to a genetic plasmid vector. Unlike viruses though we human sacks of shit come with overbearing self-consciousness, memories , high pain sensitivity and emotions at a level no other animal has ever experience atleast not rarefied to this level.
I mean think about it, trap a dog in a small chamber and itll lose locomotive functions slow and just die in a year max, but we humans are so fucked that our brain will just adapt to 4 walls and make it a new normal, so if food is present then our body wont even let us die. We can live out our entire lifespan of 70 years in a small chamber oldboy type shit. And yet somehow the possibility of a small sexual victory , an orgasm, and faint memories of our loved ones is supposed to offset the terrifying vistas of reality that are inherently possible and perhaps even more horrific our bodies were kinda "Designed" to actually resist and incorporate? This life is a fucking meme.
