The observed attraction of EVERY SINGLE person in the West (for example the U.S.) is distributed to be something like this (humps not to scale):
Proof: how does it feel harder and harder to date a girl when the majority of men (and women) are overweight and a third of each gender is obese? Why are Shouldn't it be super easy to waltz in and pick up a girl when everyone else is fat? The reality is that these people are not a part of dating. There are Americans who are either in the dating market (right hump), and those who are not (left hump), making it a bimodal distribution.
Walk into a Walmart. There it will capture this portion of the graph:
If you feel ugly, just go to a Walmart bro. You will easily mog 90% of the people there and in comparison you will seem hella attractive to women. However, this does not mean that you are a 6.5-7/10. Most people are not part of the dating market. If you have a friend group that is diverse in looks, you will notice that only the average and attractive men in that group talk about women while the less attractive guys just awkwardly sit there. The attractive guys may roast the 'average' guys for not being able to pull, but the unattractive guys are not even a part of the conversation. In my personal experience, they often cope with studies by making a snarky comment about everyone else wasting time, even if some of the attractive/average guys have just as good grades as them.
Similarly, most of the people that you encounter in Walmart are don't even think about trying to pull a woman. If we cut out all of the non-participants (of the dating market), then the people that you are competing with capture this portion of the distribution:
In order to see your true competition for yourself, go to a school dance/college part or any school/college event where unattractive people don't bother coming for the most part and thus voluntarily pull themselves out of the dating pool. If you compare to these people, only then the seemingly harsh looksmax.org and the normally distributed TRM ratings make sense.
