Younger students have no filter. They say the dumbest shit ever. But that makes it fun. You won't hear a college student saying that his father is Kim Jong-un, but a high school student would, for example. That happened a few weeks ago. Kid is literally South East Asian, not even North Korean. Anyway...

They are more difficult to handle than older students because of their brainrot. They have a lot of behavioral problems, my mentor teacher is constantly correcting them. This is necessary, they teach us teachers-in-training to do this well. This is what they call classroom management. You might even recognize your own teachers doing this.

Here's a recurring example from what I've seen personally. My mentor goes "[insert name here]. What are you doing wrong right now?" And then the student goes "I'm talking." My mentor responds with "Yes, you're talking. And what are you supposed to be doing right now?" The student then says "The exercises." And then my mentor says "Yes, the exercises. So what are you going to do now?" The student then replies with "The exercises." Then my mentor teacher ends with "Correct. So go do the exercises. And don't talk." And then they do their exercises.

This happens multiple times a day. Imagine having to do that everyday. Sounds tiresome? I bet it does.

Being a teacher means having a lot of patience, you can't just go batshit insane because the students aren't listening. They will just double-down on their behavior, I've seen it a lot myself and I've only been attending ten days in total, spread throughout weeks. You can't go "Shut the fuck up and do your work!" Because that means you're not fit to be a teacher. But I have a lot of patience, I could do that.

And by the way, if you do lose your shit, the students just make fun of you instead. They are ragebaiters.
