And then I spotted multiple books like this. Literally an entire genre from the same author and then I learnt about this landwhale whore. This is Olivia Dade.

Her entire schtik is I’m just a quirky book girl who deserves giga chad fantasy packaged for women.

I skimmed through one of her books and omg. I got so fucking angry. Her heroines never have to actually compete, improve, or face real consequences, they just exist as sensitive special one until a tall, gigachad emotional man shows up to confirm that their insecurities and anxieties are actually endearing.

And the language every word reeks of entitlement. everything gets blamed on the man. Men have to improve. Man to be blamed. Man man all the time. It reads like some extended cope sessions where every insecurity gets rewarded instead of examined. I stood there for half an hour reading the book and was already fuming and what made me even more angry is that when I looked up online, many women actually buy and read these books and get inspired from them. Some of them are number 1 sellers. Wish I could burn that entire aisle of books.
