Yee, you heard me correctly, you owe nothing to your parents, nada, 0.

Are you supposed to convince me, that i owe my parents 18 years of care, love, and money, just because they did the bare minimum? “Muh they cared for you and loved you” so? This is what they are supposed to do. I didn’t choose to be born.. they did, you don’t owe anyone anything, as soon as you turn 18, book that flight to Japan and never turn back.

Don’t let society’s standards be forced upon you, things that are acceptable somewhere can be unacceptable somewhere else, the only standard that should matter to you is the one you decide, if you think leaving your girlfriend for no reason is okay, then do it, don’t let some fucker with blue hair convince you it’s evil and nihilistic, you don’t owe anyone your acceptance and love

Always make sure your first, it’s you, then you, then you. The only person you should love and put first is yourself, society is a cookie that either will crumble by its own self, or will degrade and expire once we see that we don’t have to accept anything from ANYONE.

I don’t owe them the care that they SHOULD be giving, care isn’t a privilege it is the bare minimum for parents.

yea & taking care for them in old age is also bare minimum:hnghn:
tbh I understand leaving them If they're shit, but why do it to normal parents?

I grew up with an emotionally unavailable father and an emotionally unstable mother. It has led me to be a pathological liar for no reason and always have this mask on. People irl know me as this charismatic person but inside i really just would like to go to Japan, isolate myself from everyone and just live my life out there, they weren’t shit they spoiled me and they’re rich so i had everything i wanted growing up but they broke me emotionally.

I am also in a similar situation
They spoiled me & let me get away with being a total disrespectful brat

but also hindered my social life & development due to many decisions they took. It made it very hard for me to fit in despite having good genes for everything.

But then again, they love me too much for me to intentionally hurt them.
Their decisions might be shit & they might be incompetent at parenting but their intentions were never bad.

Fixing my own life & pardoning them is the right thing IMO

Hating & harming them is pointless & low sentient behavior
It could only lead to guilt after their death. Making sure they're alright while not making them center of your life is

better I guess?

Ah yes, it’s my fault for having anti-social tendencies *that I wasn’t born with* it’s not my emotionally unstable parents fault
