would you still be chronically online, doomscrolling, gaming for 8 hours straight, arguing with strangers, consuming endless content, if you had even the bare minimum a friend group you’re not embarrassed to be in, a girlfriend, an active social life where you’re valued.
most “hobbies” people cling to aren’t passions, they’re just coping mechanisms. you don’t boot up the game because it excites you, you boot it up because logging off means reminding yourself that your life isn’t where it should be.
same reason i dropped all my gaming soy shit. deleted all my accounts, all wiped out, everything. i realized i never actually liked it. it was just a way to cope with not having something normal.
then again none of this is your fault whether it’s due to bad genes, a shit embarrassing poor environment, or both
