Yes Mt2 can give you acne. It stimulates melanocortin 5 receptors in your sebaceous glands, making them release extra oil. that excess oil, combined with the sunheat you need for the tan, clogs pores and feeds acne causing bacteria.

Obviously an antagonist of the MC5R would downregulate sebaceous gland activity to some extent. MT2 is a melanocortin receptor-agonist, but is designed to target the MC1R, and has significantly lower affinity for the MC5R as aforementioned. My argument is that agonism of the MC5R would be negligible and any change in sebaceous gland activity would be clinically insignificant.
OP attributed his acne to the "MT2 flush", which is not the result of upregulation of sebaceous gland activity. He is wrong, so are you.

Very few 'spots' on my arms if you could call them moles. I didn't really notice a change in their colour.
Just come off or taper down if you think you're noticing more/your existing moles are more present.
