You Should Probably Wait To Take Finasteride Until You Hit 25 Years Old

Long bone growth continues until the age of 25. This means that your clavicles and height can continue to grow until you hit 25 years of age. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe DHT plays a role in long bone growth. Don't quote me on this, but as I result I think taking finasteride before 25 could potentially rob you of a few mm of shoulder width and height.

So I think waiting until 25 to take finasteride is the way to go unless your hair loss is bad. This will allow you to get as broad shoulders and as tall as possible before nuking your DHT and locking in your hair. After 25, by all means take finasteride like your life depends on it to make sure that you preserve your hair forever.

But this is only just a theory, please let me know if I'm wrong.

The problem is that people with really aggressive balding usually begin the process around age 19-20, some even earlier.
By age 22 they may already very well be NW3 or even NW4.

No sides besides ball ache for one day at the very beginning. Besides that no side effects at all.

I take 1mg since the beginning. I started EOD and transitioned to every day after a while even tho I'm slightly inconsistent lately where I sometimes forget to take it because a lot is going on right now

growing in height is unlikely at that age but in width definitely possible.

my dog also stopped growing in height at 1 year mark and went into width until late 2nd year. its same for us humans, so face can definitely change still just as shoulder width etc

Yeah, if you can afford to wait. Often times, you lose a lot of hair density before you actually even notice you’re balding so ideally you start as early as possible while not inhibiting left over growth from puberty.
