Self improvement, whether it be looksmaxxing or socialmaxxing or whatever it may be is a slow and gradual process, which takes many months and years to achieve and see progress.

A big mistake I see on here and in people in this site is that they're insecure about their bad traits, and believe ascending will fix their problems.

This is generally a better mindset than cope, but even if you do ascend, your only confident BECAUSE of your current hairstyle, outfit, or status. Your confident because of a material possession that can easily be taken away when there are people who are more attractive than you, taller than you, and have higher status who would still be confident and egotistical even if they were ugly or poor.

If your only confident because of your looks or material possessions, who are you without it? Your still nothing but an insecure loser deep down hiding in an attractive host.

So as long as you're improving and bettering yourself on a daily basis, you shouldn't be insecure and dependent because being confident only because of materials or possessions is dependancy.

I agree, it is good to place your self esteem on things that do not fluctuate or go away with time
