I know I will get alot of "water" for this one, but my intention is not to reveal some sacred knowledge, it's just for sake of discussion.
Anyone who thinks they will be able to become Rich off of a specific skill or subject, know that you will never ever be the best unless you started young.
You will really never be the best at anything unless you started young, and I mean really young.
Me and my friends went through COUNTLESS areas. Maths, Chess, Medicine, Chemistry, Sharpshooting, Sports, Entertainment, Racing, even being a Mechanic, all the people in the top 25 started young.
Magnus Carlsen, regarded as the best chess player to ever live, started playing at age 5.
For Maths and Chess, usually 4-6
For stuff like Medicine, Chemistry, usually 16 [though this is because of highschool completion age]
For Sharpshooting, many at the top surprisingly started at 14, which is weirdly high, but lots started at age 9-12
For Sports, it was 9
For Entertainment, 8-16
Professional racing, 6 years old.
Sergei Martynov, regarded as the best sharpshooter to ever lived, started shooting at age 12.
Why is this important, isn't it obvious?
It should be said because theres alot of people on this forum, who believe that they are secretly gifted, and if they just TRIIIED they would completely shatter their competition. And they would succeed. And since it's just so plain and obvious that they would do so well, they shouldn't even bother.
Saying this out loud, the cope is obvious, but this way of thinking is more common on here than you'd think.
No, you will never be the best at anything, you've missed your chance to be the best at anything, the only thing you will ever be is in the top 1%, if you grind something for years and years.
Example of cope
you don't have to watch this video at all, trust me.
This video was quite brutal, because the reason why this "Hungrybox" person became the best Smash Melee player was because his father told him "You can be extremely good at something, but you will never ever be the best." and this was his way of proving dad wrong.
Uhh, fucking smash melee?
If you find some niche thing like some fucking dead video game from 2001 and grind it for years and years methodically, sure, you can become the best. But you will never be the best at anything actually serious. And, if this player tried to become the best at any modern Smash Bros game, he would be knocked out of the park by the competition, and I know this without even knowing anything about the Smash Bros franchise.
EVEN MORE BRUTAL.
According to the video, In one of the tournaments before this Hungrybox guy became the absolute best, where they were known competitive Smash Melee players who were seen as the cream of the crop, they all got wiped out by some little kid who didn't even really play the game, and only went to the convention where the tournament was held for something different, and he left with the prize money.
Hard work, and pure autism, beaten by some kid's elite neuroplasticity and maybe even good genetics when it comes to playing video games.
So brutal.
TL;DR: Make your kid grind a specific subject for his entire childhood that he doesn't want to do so he grows up to hate you
Mess with the best, die like the rest.
