They form humble brags as a question because they want to make a statement but are too afraid to outright brag.
"I am 6'3, is that tall?"
"A girl said she thinks I am hot, is she into me?"
"I have a 4.3 GPA is that good for colleges?"
"I can dunk in the 9th grade. Is that normal?"
It is more infuriating than just making a statement about how great you are because it's obvious what you are doing.
It is why if I was interviewing someone for a job and I said, what is your greatest weakness and they said "I pay too much attention to detail" or "I am a perfectionist", I'd be like fuck this guy. If you are gonna say some bull shit like that, why not just say "I don't think I have any weaknesses". That is a much more respectable response than a humblebrag that isn't even true.
Kid, you know you don't need reinforcement on the internet that having good grades is good for college, or if being 6'2 220 is good for football.
