Maybe balding is a metabolic disease and athletes eat well, good bloodflow and metabolically healthy. It is a wonder but there are quite a few mma fighters who are balding badly but a lot have good hairlines. @20/04/2008
@Jonas2k7 thoughts? Any particular reason athletes have good hairlines even in their 30s?
Being bp'd i couldn't help but check bivol and beterbievs hair during their fight and was mirin :feelsokman:

Most fighters have high prenatal T.

A low-set hairline, a dominant splanchnocranium, and a low upper-lower face ratio are features of high prenatal t.

Also, there are plenty of bald ogre fighters in MMA and boxing, doubt lifestyle factors matter that much. Hair follicle sensitivity is genetic.

Metabolic diseases can contribute to balding yes. It's a combination of some gene signalling in the hair roots, nutrient difficiency, decline in estrogen, imbalances in hormone levels etc.

Low stress
Good diet
That's a given but still there's more to it. Increased bloodflow due to repeatedly being punched in the head or dragging their head across the mat or just being upside down and all different angles releases scalp tension.

Basically 100 different reasons which we already know but was curious why most athletes/mma fighters don't suffer from balding, atleast not anywhere near as bad as the average joe. We know someone like khabib/islam/etc lead a very healthy lifestyle and never drink or do drugs or cause metabolic/oxidative stress. Always training with good bloodflow/nutrients, reduced scalp tension due to rubbing head on mat and all over, being hit on the head might have some impact, the shape of their heads avar/etc is different and that could contribute aswell. Also the diet thing plays precedence to how good their insulin sensitivity is.

I don't know, when I was going to the gym I noticed that my hairline receded more and more.

But recently I realized that my skull is very tight, I have a big forehead, I am very prone to stress and when I tried some scalp massages few days ago, I noticed that the is some pain on the sides of my skull and in neck also.

I implemented scalp massages along with minox and some caffeine shampoo and also hanging upside down to increase blood flow to my head, and I am seeing some hair gains.

Will continue like this for few months and see if blood flow theory is legit.

Hard to say or attribute the hair loss that accelerated during that time to lifting/gym, it could have been any number of issues but it could have been the gym for sure, highest test > more dht, oxidative stress, etc. Your galea is likely tight, avoid stress like the plague, it kills everything, your hair, your body internally etc.
If you need good in-depth scalp massages, i'd recommend perfecthairhealth.com, i have his videos bookmarked somewhere since i think these days they're behind a paywall but they're really good, moreso than your average scalp massage video on youtube. The thing is it's all connected, your back/spine, all the way up to your neck and skull, your posture and body is one. The hanging upside down thing is good, as long a syour diet is good and getting enogu nutrients, it should help alot, i do it myself too, although only like a minute in the morning and night. Bloodflow theory is legit but it's one piece of the puzzle, it's logical, your hair needs nutrients, bloodflow reduced because of galea/skull tightness which results in reduced bloodflow. If you have anterior pelvic tilt or just bad posture in general, fix that aswell. I've also read a theory about jaw misalignment and abnormal jaw/maxilla placement and/or dental malocclusion, your teeth/mouth does have some relation to your scalp aswell. The nerves/veins are connected.
Are you using topical minox? you're leaving results on the table so to speak if you aren't combining minox with a dermapen.
dermapen 0.6mm from what i can remember seems to have the best results. There's a ton of stuff you can do but it all depends on your general health and where you're at. Also keep in mind insulin sensitivity aswell.

Professional athletes lifestyle is EXTREMELY unhealthy.
Even if they wouldn't blast roids they would still be unhealthy.

they put their bodies through stress but we're talking how it specifically affects their hair and how most actually have good hair.

Is posterior pelvic tilt good posture or neutral is better?
