In honor of the Superbowl being only a matter of days away, I wanted to ask you guys about Superbowl parties.
Are these parties a form of cuckoldry for men because they're being super enthusiastic about watching OTHER men succeed while they themselves are on the couch with doritos in their mouth, OR are these events actually meaningful social events and people who don't get invited are just coping?
I guess if someone truly watches it just for the culture and to hang around friends it doesn't mean anything, but I've genuinely seen people view sports as making losers out of male viewers because they're invested in seeing other men succeed and do masculine stuff. And one of the people who holds this stance is a former quant trader who (at least for me) seems legitimate in what he says.
Chances are I won't be invited to these parties this year, so maybe I'm just coping as well
