After Trump got elected, all those woke weasels who run YouTube quickly suspended their deceptive practice of "shadowbanning" their users' comments because they were afraid of him cracking down on them. But now that he's tied up with the war in Iran, and has become essentially a lame duck president, they feel safe. So they quietly resumed the despicable practice of censoring comments.

Anyone else notice this?

The free speech on YouTube, that lasted a few months in the wake of Trump's election victory, sure was nice. It almost felt like the good old days of 2006, before it became polluted with Orwellian algorithms programmed by hysterical harpies and indoctrinated control freaks that want to control the narrative. I fucking hate these people.

One of the first things conservatives should've tackled when they gained a majority in Congress was to ensure free speech (and "transparency"--one of the left's favorite buzzwords) on the internet. No company should be allowed to blatantly lie to their users. It's deceptive, dishonest, and unethical. If they're going to delete a comment, they shouldn't be legally allowed to do this behind someone's back. They should inform the user that his comment is being deleted and why. This way, he can decide if he wants to continue participating and providing value to that platform without getting anything in return.

Yeah, that was before all these Millennial and Gen Z harpies were too young to have any power or influence on YouTube, and before A.I., which censors comments. It's an Orwellian nightmare now.

Youtube's "free speech" is egregiously overstated, calling what they have a comment section feels like a misnomer at times. odysee is much better.

Agree, but the trouble with Odysee, Rumble, and Bitchute is that there isn't that much content and traffic there compared to YouTube. We need a worthy competitor to YT that allows free speech.
