YouTube said it will now limit repeated recommendations of videos that:

• Idealise particular fitness levels or weight groups
• Compare and idealise certain physical features, or
• Are socially aggressive, meaning they show intimidation or fighting."

Limiting teens from accessing content on lookism, and fitness won’t make them feel better about their bodies, it will just deny them information that can be used to reach a potential solution.

When I was in highschool fat asf with skinny arms, I HATED how I looked like and hated my weak, fat body, despite never watching a fitness video or lookism one. Those feelings of hatred are internal and the only cure to them is not through deluding oneself through therapy but through doing something about it and succeeding
