These days they’re bred in captivity in most places, and not taken from the wild
Without a wild parent, they wouldn’t survive in the wild
And some zoos help with conservation
And many animals have a much easier life than they would in the wild

Capturing wild animals is wrong, and many zoos have insufficient habitats, but modern zoos aren’t inherently a bad thing
