Gonna find my Ottoman Sultana Queen :feelsgood::feelsgood:

Leaving Tunisia next week cuz this place is a shithole and its hot as sin. I wanted to go to Belarus but the visa shit is retarded right now for US citizens(at least during the summer)

Also I saw another flight a few days ago for only 600 dollars and no lay overs. It's cheap af still to travel rn

getting a remote software job and traveling the world is such a cheatcode :ogre:

Florida or Texas?

I'm a Portland/Seattle-cel so I'm accustomed to cold weather and cloudy skies.

TBH Tunisia is hot as balls

do you have a cs degree?

I heard that many companies wouldn’t pay US wage if you don’t live in the US, did you have any trouble with that? Since you live in different countries?

You ever tried freelancing? I’ve heard it’s pretty lucrative, especially for someone who wants to work remotely and have less restrictions

I don't know if it's easy or difficult to slay with just english, never experienced it. slaying is overall difficult compared to the west. I slay in turkey but mostly via socialcircle. I don't go to clubs because I hate the club culture in turkey lol only cesme is alright.

I'm going to Izmir as well for about 10 days.

Are you a student? How hard is it to get by in Izmir with English? The turks I talked to said in istanbul they speak much better english

Well most Turks can barely say their name in English, good luck with that. (And not just when socialising, you will get bothered a lot if you cant speak Turkish and your stay is not taking place in a vacation area)

Yes im a student but just be prepared to see how uncommon it is to hear decent English once you get in a convo with people older than 20

My gf will translate for me she speaks good english

but tbh I expected it to be fairly common among under 30s, since it is common even in cuba and we're poorer and less educated than the city turks

Have fun in Constantinople

Its not always the education tbh. You guys are speaking Spanish in Cuba right? Literally a European language just like the English. Meanwhile Turkish is a whole different world compared to them, its just kinda difficult to pick up a language that has a completely different grammar, logic and vocab than your native language.

Dont get me wrong a lot of them still will try their best to communicate with you but its best to know that most of them are only slightly better than complete beginners
