I had a pretty good childhood and despite being an autist I was able to make friends and have memorable experiences. I partly think it's because there was less of a social standard to perform to and because I was less aware and lower inhib. Despite that I feel like it did nothing for me in terms of socialising me into a normal functioning member of society.

When I started secondary school at 11 I stopped being able to blend in with normies, became way higher inhib and ended up spending most of my time on vidya or just rotting on the internet.

At around 16-17 I started actually trying to improve myself and talk to more people but ever since then I've felt like I'm decades behind everyone else my age in terms of social ability and general life experience. I can't fit in with people my age because of this.

Damn bro it really is over for most of us. I'm 16 and I feel like I'm not really NT enough. I kind of just don't do much productive stuff and I go to studycel central school tbh so it doesn't seem like I really missed out.
