I fully understand that people will have a negative reaction to this relationship, but is sending the adults to jail and breaking up this family really in the best interest of everyone? Clearly this was not a case of violent, coercive abuse. All signs pointed to this being the start of a happy family for the couple, despite the unusual circumstances. Who benefits from the destruction of this family by law enforcement?
