I have ridiculous levels of social anxiety but it makes no sense.
2 months ago I was socialising like crazy with 100s of people in Costa Rica and being very outgoing, extraverted.
but now suddenly I'm in a new place and I go into hiding.

I have spent the last few hours browsing this forum and looking at myself in the mirror, assessing all of my flaws and moving my hair about.

fuck my gay brain chemistry.

Just bought some lyrica to fix this shit.

I have only a little social anxiety. For most people, their suffering is mostly in their heads. In my case, the mogging I experience is physical. The pain is physical. A deep stabbing pain in the chest. It's only when I am with my own thoughts, I am able to realise the gravity of the situation. How over it really is.

I was already going to beaches/clubs and making out with beckys in house parties on my first week lol

nah I was with other white people in Costa Rica who were similar to me. It was volunteering out there.
Also I am very middle class, white, above average looking.
But was bullied during teenage years and this fear is so deep rooted
I can come out my shell but it just takes time.
