Yeah.. and do it before you go past NW2 preferably.. lots of guys cope "I don't care about going bald" then realize past NW3 and thinning crown or diffuse thinning etc "actually this sucks.. I wish I had my hair!!!" and rarely regrow a full NW3 head of hair, usually they are lucky if they can even do that. Best thing is to prevent at earliest signs of norwood, if you are NW2 definitely start treatment NOW..

Oh and yeah you get other good benefits like clearer skin, anti-aging effects of skin potentially by suppressing the trash hormone DHT that suppresses elastin synthesis + you get more estrogen at skin level which is good for your skin and anti-aging of skin(also subcutaneous fat deposits), helping preventing BPH, possible cardiovascular benefits long-term too.

I have been NW2~ since early 20s but thankfully didn't go beyond that for years but started treatment eventually just to be safe + cleared the fuck out of my skin. I am growing max long hair and don't want DHT slowly eating away at hair follicles and affecting ability to grow length, thickness and density or have it slowly eat away at my center hairline that is thankfully still as low as originally. I already have ultra coarse ultra dense hair that is very long now and maintaining that for sure the coming decades feels good as fuck + again clear skin and anti-aging and other benefits. Zero negative sexual side-effects too on DUTASTERIDE 2-3x a week. Extremely boosted anime character eyelashes on minoxidil also.

Honestly why go bald if you can prevent it? I get to keep my long freaky quality hair and the freedom and styling and mogging with that and this costs me like half a dollar a day with all the other health benefits lol.. it is too good to be true. Guys cope with HTs also when they could just have gone on treatment early and prevented needing a HT and saving both follicles and money.

Edit: Having hair and long hair is FUN as fuck. So much freedom and versatility for styling, hair accessories can become like part of your wardrobe too. At the very least don't go bald even a buzz cut with full head of hair mogs being fully smooth bald lol.

Norwood 2+ is the wall for men
Yep, I am NW2 but still manage to look young and good hair as fuck. Thankfully still got extreme coarseness and extreme density of my hair and length, never had aggressive hair loss but glad I have made sure it would never progress past NW2, at least not for decades(I hope). I think anything up to NW 2.5 can still look great depending on guy, past that and yeah it really starts to tank. Henry Cavill is a good example of NW 2.5, he even had a HT to get back to this hairline, he chose density over restoring more hairline which IMO is pretty smart, looks more natural and he saves hair follicle for future use. Probably his steroid usage is why he needed the HT in the first place, he's probably been cruising on T + dutasteride and minoxidil most of the times I am guessing.

Mirin the effort based and hairpilled :ogre:
Are you on oral minoxidil too? Imo it’s a heavy hitting no brainer helps with hair density but also fills in eyebrows and eyelashes which is a welcome.

Yeah I take sublingual/oral minoxidil, I try to dose it sublingually but some or most is bound to become orally administered ie swallowed anyway. And yes it works terrific, I would say I dose in the ballpark of 1 mg daily circa, say 0.75-1.25 mg, and it has worked wonders on both scalp hair and eyelashes and saves me the hassle of topical application. I honestly don't know if it changed my eyebrows any much but probably slightly boosted those too, only "unwanted hair growth" I've gotten is leg and arm hairs being slightly longer but you barely notice the difference lol, it is like hairy vs slightly longer hairy now, like almost as hairy before as hairy after lol.
