Don't you know that his mandible is going to retract now back into it's almost original place, except that his teeth won't be crowded anymore? Let's hope the boy didn't permanently deform himself. I would maybe suggest lower mandible braces (important: which push forward) and then once the upper teeth normalize with those huge ass gaps (unless he plans on getting teeth implants) you can match the two mandibles and use a retainer for a year so it doesn't all go in vain. Is he supplementing K2 MK4, MK7? Calcium, magnesium, daily tanning for d3?

Its better to under expand then over expand. And don't do more the none turn a day.

Most people would benefit a ton from just 10 MM expansion I'd recommend measuring your palate and seeing how narrow it is. Even the average palate is narrow relative to how humans should be but if you are more narrow then you can expand more then an average person. Just remember that you run the risk of looking weird if overdone you can get insane benefits from just small expansion. And diminishing returns if you expand a ton at the risk of weird shit

Even a 5 MM or very unnoticeable expansion would effect someone with a narrow palate a lot and improve their breathing
