Done some research but want real-world experiences before even considering MK-677.

Main reason I’m looking at it is to increase appetite and gain weight (22M, 6ft, 46kg).

I’ve already tried increasing calories and using calorie-dense foods, so I’m mainly interested in experiences with MK-677 rather than general “just eat more” advice.

From what I understand so far:

Risks:

  • Water retention (can affect blood pressure)
  • Insulin resistance / blood sugar issues
  • Fatigue, libido and mood changes
  • Acne / oiliness
  • Carpal tunnel symptoms (tingling/pins & needles)
  • Possible prolactin/cortisol changes
  • Potential impact on lipids
  • Can stimulate existing abnormal cell growth
  • Unknown long-term effects
Other:
  • Can improve sleep (but mixed reports)
  • May improve skin/hair for some (not guaranteed)
  • A lot of the “full” look may just be water retention

Mitigation (from what I’ve seen):
  • Eating clean
  • Using berberine for blood sugar (not a fix, just support)
  • Staying hydrated
  • Monitoring blood pressure + bloodwork

Bloods I’d check:
  • Fasting glucose
  • HbA1c
  • Fasting insulin
  • Lipids
  • IGF-1

Dosing I’ve seen:
  • 10–25 mg/day

What I want to know:
  • Anything important I’m missing?
  • How do you actually cycle it (what worked for you)?
  • What actually changed for you?
  • How did you mitigate side effects?
  • Your experience overall

If you think mk-677 is going to change anything when you definitely should eat more then you truly are lost.

I haven’t really taken mk 677 before but i have some friends who did. The thing is its important to note that you’re severely underweight so when cycling mk 677 it can increase ghrelin but it doesn’t fix the root issue of why you’re that underweight in the first place so might want to check if you have any eating disorders or anything like that. Basically a push not a solution. The thing is if you’re cycling it the risks are still the same as when you use it constantly your insulin sensitivity is gonna be wrecked from my friends experiences and if you don’t fix the root problem you’re just gonna revert back to how it was before. Basically when most people use it their just masking bad underlying habits so might want to fix that before considering this. Hope i helped.(Don’t trust me too much i might be wrong too)

From what i’ve seen don’t trust real life experiences too much because the results vary a lot from person to person when taking all these synthetic compunds it can work very well for someone but can cripple another. For mk677 its best used as a crutch not a primary helping tool. You should be training properly, eating in a calorie surplus already and using it for sleep and recovery if you want to optimize it so just take that into account and don’t rely on it too much for appetite

I’m going to use it to increase my appetite so I can ear more, I’m not expecting mk to just put weight on me 😂

Appreciate the advice, probably the most detailed and genuine advice I’ve gotten on any threads before.

I don’t have an eating disorder or anything I just struggle to eat a lot and consistently, so I was looking to use it purely to help me with my appetite so I can eat more and hopefully will help me gain weight.
Will keep all of this in mind though

That's what I mean friend. If you have trouble eating enough already, mk-677 will not help you. You need to acclimate your body/stomach first before introducing Ibutamoren. Otherwise you'll feel hungry all the time and your stomach/gut biome will hurt with the sudden influx of food.

Try to gradually increase the volume you can ingest before anything, my two cents.

you most definitely have an eating disorder if you are 22, 6ft, and 46 kg. When i was 40 kg at 15 and 5’7-5’8, i barely ate anything for the day. I can’t imagine being that skinny even being skinny currently at this height and age (17). Please eat bro 🙏 you got it👌

I appreciate the advice genuinely, I can eat a good volume of food in one meal, I don’t feel like I have stomach volume issues it’s just an issue with my hunger sometimes, i can have 15 hour gaps between meals sometimes and not feel hunger at all which isn’t normal.

It's likely to be a psychological issue, considering the fact that you are 22 years old it's even more worrying. You should consult with an health professional.

What do you mean by a psychological issue? I have no issues medically as I’ve had blood work done and there are no issues preventing me from gaining weight, it’s just my hunger hormones are not good

I did not say for sure, "likely". 46 kgs at 180cm for 22 years old, this is not healthy in my humble opinion. Anyways, you could always discuss the matter with a doctor to see what he thinks. I'm just a random nobody with a keyboard after all.

Yeah just like orge said too figure out the problem behind your appetite first whether its hormones or habits. If you manage to do that i’m sure you can gain weight soon enough. You got this💪💪

you should probably start eating more and regularly, 4-6 meals a day before using. Going to the gym for a month or 2 aswell to get ur muscles working…

That’s great, I used to have the same issue as you so right now. I used to weigh 52kg Back in october, got my gym membership and started eating lots and lots, i was never hungry but the gym helped me, i’m literally hungry all the time right now which helps me a lot with gaining weight.

Check out my post in my profile, i’m currently at 65,7kg 185cm and i could probably give you some tips if you’d like!

if you don’t want it badly enough you will never get it. I’m far from 3000 maintenance and still aim for 3000 daily. He can start off with 2500.

If you need gear to eat as a lightweight, you are beyond pussy. It’s literally just putting food in your mouth and taking the time to prepare clean food. That’s how you overcome the psychological aspect.

Even with gear he’ll still have to eat that much regardless. He’s not magically going to gain weight.

hitting the gym is not going to do shit for you at 46 kg. gaining weight is nutrition based and the most important, you will gain no weight eating like shit and going to the gym. But to each their own, it’s up to you to gain weight 🤷

I can appreciate the mindset however you’re incorrect in the aspect of that it’s ’just putting food in your mouth’ sure it’s like that for the first half of the meal until your stomach starts cramping and you feel physically sick not just by forcing another spoonful but even just thinking about it. I definitely agree with if you want it bad enough you will do it, however exactly like he said it’s easier said than done especially when you have physical blockages rather psychological.

My issue isn’t stomach capacity it’s lack of hunger signals which is why I feel sick and shit when eating, hence why I considered taking MK.

That’s incorrect, going to the gym even at 46kg can stimulate your hunger signals as you’re breaking muscles/using energy which signals to your body that you need more food.

i dont track calories or macros i just eat, animal based diet plus some goy slop time to time, but the mk lowkey exploded me up a bit in terms of weight and strenght, i went from 75kg to a peak of like 82-83, and bench went up a nice ammount too, i went from 95kg for i think it was 8 or 9 reps pr to 100kg for 10 pr.

What kind of foods would you say you were eating mostly when cycling?
75kg - 82,83kg at peak, how long did it take you to gain 7-8kg?

ive done mk677 its not the best bloat is crazy hunger is good though if you do take hgh hunger goes up as well you must train leptin levels i struggled being underweight when i went to a normal weight appetite fixed even without hgh or mk677 also account for insulin as you will be eating more preferably by use of berberine or metformin
