£500 just for some steak and a few bottles of rose wine.

London isn’t cheap.

Are you rich or something why would you spend that much?

I have decent money, but it’s still too much. One cocktail here costs £20-25.

I eat 3 massive steaks at home for 9 dollars grass fed and marbled and ofc without the wine because haram 💀
I have a good local butcher who has the best steaks for a very low price. It’s just that restaurants obviously inflate the price. The steak I had today was imported from Argentina though.

Nothing new in London. Even one burger costs £20.

Every metropolis is expensive. Expect to pay a minimum of $300. By the way, which restaurant did you eat at?
Gaucho. It’s a steakhouse specialising in Argentinian meat. Nobu, Hakkasan, Roka, Guacho ect. All these places overcharge tbh.

Exactly, it's always the same irritating stuff and overpriced food, especially with the customers at Nobu. They treat it like a dining and chatting club instead of a proper restaurant.

Yeah I agree, it felt more like a private club tbh. Especially since the waiters kept uttering namastae to everyone jfl. The black cod is great though, no complaints with the quality of the food, just overpriced.

The reason it's so costly is that you're paying for the food, the presentation, and the overall experience. Occasionally, it's worth the cost, but other times it's not. I've found it to be hit and miss.

Yeah I agree. I sort of like these more swanky restaurants with dark lightening like Hakkasan, Coya ect over conventional French fine dining places. I like a more relaxed atmosphere, especially if you’re on a date. Jfl if you go to Alan Duccasse with a foid where you have to whisper.

I prefer laid-back venues with good food and live shows. I used to adore Cavalli Club in Dubai, but unfortunately, it's closed now.

You’re based in Dubai ? How’s the overall night life and entertainment like there ? I’m going on Holiday there in October, and I might consider moving to Dubai.

I'm not based there, I just visit occasionally. The nightlife is vibrant but crowded. The best spot is Downtown, and the clubbing age is 21.

Also, I'm not really into partying; I prefer going to unwind and chat. However, I've cut back on all of this, and now I rarely go to clubs.

That's how it is over there unless you have a club promoter friend who can easily get you in without any issues.
Quality of life is good there?

If you've got some money and can speak English, it's a better option than Europe. Just beware of the hot weather, but you'll get used to it eventually. You'll see lots of Indians as they form a significant part of the workforce there. But, if you've got a solid social circle, you'll quickly adapt since there are plenty of Western communities around.
