Depends, in a country where the average is like 177cm self reported, posturemaxed 188cm is quite tall actually, you are taller then 97% of guys here. What i noticed is that majority of people taller then 190cm walk slouched which brings them in the 185-192cm category, thats why it's rare to see someone really towering over you
