Religion is a way of keeping people in order. Even if it is not real, what do we lose by forcing religion on a society? Think logically. It is a way of structuring our thinking in terms of a single thing (God) that relieves stress.

It's not even so much about the spiritual aspect, it's more about the fact that non-religious societies tend to either descend into complete degeneration (what the West is currently experiencing) or power-hungry totalitarian secular regimes take control (the Soviet Union, China, etc.) and citizens' lives deteriorate to unimaginable degrees.

It is a good way to control the masses, but the concept of a policing god is not real.

From my point of view, a religion is a good base for a stable society. But then again if shits hits the fan we could easily enter slave mode while the leaders enjoy the pure joy of hedonism. Its a wrapped up world, we cant lose nor win.

The core issue is that religion has no realistic chance of ever going back up again. I really can't see it happening. The rates will continue to drop for all of them

No, the Bible has never said that “race would become one” because “race” is a social construct that was created in the 1800s by Johan, F Blumenbach, and the Bible says for the Israelites (so-called Negroes) to separate from the heathen because of their abominable practices. Religion gives people hope and meaning. It gives people a sense of brotherhood and ties everyone in society together. “God has a plan for you” gives people hope that things will get better. “The evil-doers will go to hell”, gives people a peace of mind that at least here they have wronged by the person, but in the afterlife they will be in heaven and the person who harmed them will be in hell. It’s been eroding in 1st world countries and you can see that people are becoming more nihilist. That’s what Nietzsche meant when he said “God is dead”. He advocated for people to make up their own morality but most people cannot do that and stay consistent with it.

The unfortunate brutal reality is that God doesn’t exist. There is no plan for you, and you can only look into the darkness and come out of it by yourself. If he did exist, remember he put you in there in the first place. You are in this position because of bad luck, not any cosmic force in the universe.
