Mandible angle and chin. at younger age, the angle is acute (in males 97 degrees), becoming more obtuse with increasing age (135 degrees), and the chin, with bone remodeling, becomes more oblique and shorter, with increased anterior projection.
TL;DR -- a long, forward sloping mandible = an old man's physiology/aging structure! If you're recessed or have a set back jaw it means you're probably YOUNGER than some guy the same age with a big, sloping and forward swung mandible. Biology don't lie.
All you have to do is observe mandible changes throughout time... Notice little kids never have this sloping jaw that droops forward?
Look who has this aged jaw for example:
Now look at a guy the same age with a more youthful mandible:
AGE ISN'T ALL JUST NUMBERS, SOME PEOPLE LITERALLY AGE TOO FAST OR REACH THE "OLD PHYSIOLOGICAL" STATE QUICKER AND IT SHOWS! IF YOUR JAW'S SLOPED, RAMUS PULLS IN/SWINGS FORWARD & MOVES ALONG LIKE THAT FAR RIGHT PIC YOU'RE OLDCEL!
