Imagine that you find a natural method that works, and that isn't talked about a lot. In that case, the method most likely does not carry an inherit risk and does not require any excessively expensive equipment. That means that knowledge is likely the only barrier ( lack of motivation could be another, but that's easier to overcome compared to the barriers of something like surgery).
Think about something simple and that everybody knows about like the gym. Nowadays most people go to the gym or at least do some type of high intensity physical activity. If nobody knew about the benefits of working out but you did, would you want to share it ? Wouldn't you want to be the only one taking advantage of it ? Would you talk about it publicly or only share it with a few people ?
I think the reason most talked about methods here are artificial is not that they are the most effective, but rather that people are more likely to share information and talk about them.
