If you have a true small skull ( sub 22.5 inch) you wont have much of a maxilia anyway. Also small skull is true mutant trait, maxilia is more commonly underdeveloped
If you look at the photo I posted of Barrett, you can see his palatal arch is rather deep and slopes upwards, indicating that he doesn’t have an extremely wide palate. If you take Ronald Ead for example who artificially expanded his palate to 50mm, you can see a very flat palate
