Bonesmashing DOES work. But here's the information you need to know for what to expect. Before we begin with the science, a clear example of bonesmashing working is androgenic. While of course the hormones he took play a huge part in his progress, it doesn't mean you cant gain progress without them. It just means, it'll be slower.

But why are results so limited? It comes down to the bone composition of your facial bones. It is composed of trabclear bone and cortical bone. Trabclear is very responsive and metabolically active, while cortical isn't. And when cortical gets damaged, it just reapirs to it's original condition.

And the second thing to keep in mind is, bone must be hit over a certain threshold for remodeling to even occur. It comes down to frosts law, wont be getting much into it here.

Now since this thread is small, i won't go into detail of the ratios of trabclear and cortical bone but bonesmashing works on these bones well enough if you hit hard enough:
chin and zygos

brow ridge and gonions are not ideal due to the ratios of cortical to trabclear but u can gain slight progress here too if ur on hormones. otherwise dont waste ur time.

also reminder: bonesmashing will lead to premature ossification of your sutures in areas where u hit

also for those who androgenic took pth analogs, he didn't. he only mentions them in his course. and im not sure if he took hdac inhibitors.

Which do you think is better for hitting your face: a hammer or a massage gun (with metal modifications, obviously)?

i have not looked into whether a massage gun would be better or not. but it could be better but it has a different mechanism of working compared to a hammer.

so i would say stick to a hammer for now. il research more and if i find something il let u know

use a hammer, a tack hammer would be ideal since it is not too heavy and the smaller area of impact would allow you to hit more precisely

This is wrong infos sadly

cortical hypertrophy does happen in long bones, but im more than confident its capacity to hypertrophy in facial bones is very limited. becaused long bones are able to take advantage of many other types of forces such as tensile, shear stress etc.

facial bones are unable to do that (from bonesmashing), at least from my knowledge. i think potential to hypertrophy facial bones would be limited, if you have proof suggesting otherwise so, id be more than happy to know.

yeah just keep hitting ur self ur gonna ascend and end up like chad

This is wrong. Cortical bone hypertrophy occurs in all bones of the body, there is no exception. All bones of the body have a cambium under the periosteum layer, which is a very rich layer of stem cells that proliferate into bone cells when the periosteum is lifted from the bone (for example, through a rupture of blood vessels between the periosteum and the cortical bone). Certainly, the cheekbones, for example, will not hypertrophy like the ulna but the zygos is much smaller, and any slight growth in it is very noticeable. Certainly, the cheekbones also share the same mechanism of healing and bone hypertrophy. So, how do you explain the occurrence of severe bone hypertrophy at the site of a fracture in the cheekbone, for example? That’s clearly prove zygos Rich in stem cells ready to divide into bone cells
