Most people here are running either:

  • low energy / “clean eating” / starving metabolism
  • or blasting sugar with zero structure

Both are incomplete.

What you actually want is a fusion of primal biology + bioenergetics.

This is where combining Aajonus Vonderplanitz and Ray Peat becomes interesting.

The Core Idea

Aajonus builds the body.
Peat powers it.

Or in simpler terms:

  • Raw animal foods = structure / tissue / regeneration
  • Sugar = energy / electricity / metabolism

👉 If you only have structure → you become slow, dense, cold
👉 If you only have energy → you become unstable, weak, catabolic

You need both.

The Problem With Each Camp

Aajonus crowd:

  • raw meat, high fat, low carb
  • result: grounded but often sluggish, low thyroid, cold

Peat crowd:

  • sugar, juice, low fat
  • result: warm but often fragile, no density, crashes easily

👉 Both are half-solutions.

The Fusion (What Actually Works)

Raw = building material
Sugar = fuel

Think of it like:

“Meat builds you. Sugar runs you.”

If you eat raw animal foods without carbs, you will stress your system.

If you eat carbs without structure, you become soft and unstable.

Practical Setup

Morning (Turn the system ON)

  • raw eggs + honey
  • optional raw milk

→ immediate liver + nervous system support
→ prevents cortisol spike

Midday (Build + fuel)

  • raw meat (or lightly seared if preferred)
  • some fat (butter / milk fat)
  • fruit / juice / honey

→ this is key:
never eat meat alone

Evening (Recovery mode)

  • raw milk / eggs
  • some fat
  • a bit of sugar (honey / fruit)

→ deep sleep
→ parasympathetic activation
→ tissue repair

The Real Rules (Most Important Part)

1. Always combine raw + sugar

Never separate them.

Raw alone = heavy, stressful
Sugar alone = unstable, catabolic

2. No stress metabolism

If you feel:

  • cold
  • shaky
  • anxious
  • wired but tired

You are NOT “detoxing”.

You are running on stress hormones.

→ fix = more sugar + salt

3. Fat is a tool, not the base

Too much fat = slows metabolism
Too little = no stability

Balance it.

4. CO₂ is underrated

Yes, seriously.

Slow breathing, warmth, enough sugar →

→ higher CO₂
→ calmer nervous system
→ better recovery

The Esoteric Layer (for those who get it)

  • Raw food = Earth (structure)
  • Sugar = Sun (energy)
  • CO₂ = Atmosphere (stability)
  • Thyroid = Fire (metabolism)

Health = when all 4 are aligned.

Where People Mess Up

  • going zero carb with raw → crash
  • going high sugar without protein → softness + instability
  • overeating fat → stagnation
  • undereating → everything collapses

Final Formula

Eat raw for structure.
Eat sugar for energy.
Avoid stress metabolism at all costs.

Great thread ! I was really looking for people who combine both.
What do you think of coffee on this ? Ray peat recommends it but Aajonus thinks its toxic

Peat sees coffee as beneficial if your metabolism is solid (especially with sugar + milk). Aajonus rejects it because most people use it to push through low energy.
So the middle ground is simple:

- If coffee makes you feel good, warm, stable → keep it
- If it makes you jittery, cold, anxious, or crash → drop it

Also key: don’t drink it black/fasted. Have it with food, sugar, or milk.
So yeah, it’s not “good vs bad”, it’s more like a stress test for your metabolism.

sounds awfully like ai, aajonus doesn't hate on fruits or carbs, he literally loved carbs. he advocated raw milk, raw honey, daily druits, and even vegetable juice.

Fair point
Aajonus didn’t hate carbs at. He just didn’t push high refined sugar or rely on carbs as the main driver like Peat people sometimes do.

He also often recommended less ripe / not overly sweet fruits, because he saw them as easier on digestion and less “overstimulating” compared to very sugary fruit.

The real difference isn’t “carbs vs no carbs”, it’s more:

- Aajonus → carbs as part of a raw, instinctive diet (often less ripe, less sugar-heavy)
- Peat → carbs as a metabolic tool to drive energy (ripe fruit, juice, sugar)

So the overlap is actually bigger than people think.
Where they really diverge is cooked vs raw and stimulation (coffee, etc.)

yes aajonus advocated unripe fruit, one of his recipes is unripe pineapple with raw honey and unsalted raw cheese. anyways our bodies depend on animal fats for primary source of energy. carbs are secondary source quick energy this has been proved by science anyone who disagrees should go learn 8th grade biology

Nah, the body can run on both fat or carbs. But brain and red blood cells prefer glucose. Also arguing with school knowledge just lol

its basic knowledge, body mainly runs on raw animal fats glucose is only a quick energy source

When you rest then yes the body relies on fat oxidation.

But when you are stressed/active you need to rely on glucose.

firstly we aren't really supposed to be stressed (no goatis bullshit), and yes ur right on the rbc but thats a minority and that is why aajonus advocated fruits but limited to 1 per day as it isn't needed by the entire body like you stated

Supposed to? Who is going to let himself be constrained by what is supposed to be? (I suppose you mean lethargic african tribes ).

Yeah, in a perfect, low-stress, pastoral setting you could probably get away with mostly fat + minimal carbs.
low stimulation, low demand, steady state.

But you want to train harder, think faster, look sharper and achieve more.

So yes relying on fat can sustain you but hermitmaxxing is not what this thread was about.

seems like we have different ideal lifestyles which obviously requires different diets

Why not use the Frost method by js swallowing caffeine pills?:forcedsmile:
