If you get for example super bimax and get 11mm and after you get ABSSO (cause this osteotomy is ofter performed after bimax) and you will get~14 mm. You get fuckin 25 mm of your bone!!! its saying after a one year followup, the net gain is 4mm, not 14mm. the 10mm is right after the surgery before the bone starts to recede (which happens after bimax in every direction i.e. if they bring you forward 6mm you will recede a few mm by the one year mark)
