is it okay to take accutane 40mg and finastride for someone who turned 16 this month?

my brother cured his acne with isotretinoin when he was like 13 and started finastride at 18 and gradually increased his doses.

but my hair is really thinning and falling around the temples because of isotretinoin and androgenic hair loss and I'm really wondering if I should start finastride rn?

Finasteride is not good for 18 year olds

It isn't. You have BDD.

Don't appeal to your brother, his plan wasn't perfect, and, regardless, 18 is way later than 16

When i was on fin i couldnt get hard
Im sticking to minoxidil for now :cautious:

I wouldnt rly do fin at 16 unless its very aggressive, do you have alot of MBP in ur family? Just do some topical minox and maybe ru58841 till ur done with puberty

well I hope that it's not actual baldness because comparing it to a year ago it was kinda obvious
Average person STARTS balding at 30. Starts transition NW1-NW2.

What makes you think you got NW3 at 16?

every one from my dad side is bald and his father too, my mother side mostly have hair

Probably telogen effluvium, not AGA (at least not yet)

Start taking 2.5mg oral minoxidil and use some sort of hair oil if your hair is too dry on isotretinoin

Get bloodwork to check for any deficiencies

Leave finasteride for when you’re 18-19

That + get bloodwork done to check for deficiencies if you can

Your vitamin D or iron or some other marker may be low, and you won’t know unless you get bloodwork

Nah this is definitely wrong, I'd say 25 for a good amount of people.

Well it's telogen effluvium, this is pretty known/common. But it's nothing permanent, whilst on isotret your hair is super dry and brittle and restores when you come off it.

Just maintain your hair and keep it moist.

Isotretinoin doesn't cause Androgenetic alopecia so finasteride isn't inherently saving you. If you want to, pair minoxidil up with the accutane to help retain your hair as you can get TE from it. I guess you and your brother are hyper responders.

It is not permanent hair loss though.

if you’re happy with your dick length and how masculine your face looks

go for it but you’ll probably also get ED

Why not ? Not strong enough ?
Yeah, norwooding is due to dht rising in the scalp which miniaturises your hair follicles. Which is why some kind of 5 alpha reductase or dht blocker is needed. You can use RU58841 if you don't wanna take the finasteride/dutasteride pills.

Minoxidil simply speeds up growth and has very minor anti-androgenic effects which isn't enough to fix dht potency.
