ACCUTANE DOSAGES (GTFIH)

I went to the derm last week and explained to her how I wanted to micro dose accutane because i dont want to have to deal with intense side effects. The derm however told me that doing a micro dose is "trendy" and recommends me to start with 40 mg (im 6'0 and 135 lbs 17 years old). Idk if my derm is retarted or if i should just listen to her and do the 40 mg. She said I'd be on it for 8-12 months at that dose and increase the dose overtime. My acne isnt even bad i have only 1 active pimple currently but many redspots and clogged pores. should i start off with 10 mg and increase to maybe 20-30 after a couple months or should i listen to my derm.

just do the 40 mg eod if u are that scared of side effects

microdosing is dumb and a waste of time. I used 40mg first month and used like 80mg for the remaining of treatment. and low dosing u have a higher chance of ur acne coming back too.

whats the best for longest term effects, idgaf about acne i just want permanetley shrunk pores or at least shrunk pores for a few years

The derm said id be on it minimum 8-12 months thats whats concerning me the most. Definitely do not want to feel the side affects for essentially a whole year especially since my family members have had them really harshly. Also my acne isnt that bad.

my acne isnt very severe its just that tretinoin hasnt done much for my skin
