Starting at 20mg a day at 80kg. I have basically no acne on my face but mildly bad acne on my back. Trying to get it done as quick as possible, should I up the dose after a month or just run 20 until it clears? (Bloodwork’s good too and I’m take d3 and fish oils)

try 20mg first mont than switch to 40 or consult with ur derm and take 60mg
Recommended cumulative dose is 125 mg/kg, so you would need 10,000 mgs. if you were to run 20 it would take ages

Is this dependent on how bad your acne is? I feel like I wouldn’t have to have the same amount in my body as someone who has horrible acne.

The cumulative dose is where all the major benefits come in icl. But if you're only doing it for back acne i would do it till the back acne goes away, only if you don't care for the other benefits it provides .

Untrue. It just prevents acne returning.

Besides, whats the issue with him running it for a long time.

I’ll be taking 5mg a day for life after the cycle, so I’ll still get the benefits from that

More doesn't always equal faster
I’m trying to have it done atleast have way through summer (4-5 months) just so I can actually go outside and take off my shirt both without having acne and having to apply a shit ton of suncreen

im buying grey so no derm. Got some more coming in so it’s no issue, but that’s probably what I will do. Any signs that I should look out for that means I’m taking too high of a dose?

A full dose is recommended if you're trying to get better skin texture. And also being on it for too long kinda just sucks, unless u do like sub 15 mg a day. if ur at a decently high dose, you can barely be in the sun, and there are some side effects for doing it long term since it fucks with the organs.

in the future take somedays off and see what happens, like I've seen so many people including me, have stopped getting acne permanently after using isotretinoin/accutane even after I came off, because accutane permanently shrinks sebaceous (oil) glands, so they produce much less oil even after the treatment ends.

I’ll see month to month how I am, but thank you. Will probably come off as soon as I can take off my shirt and not look like a pizza.

As I go up to 40 or 60 what might happen
im on my 3mont taking 60mg per day of accutane. and almost all side affects happened.
first thing is ur dry fucking lips that will bleed and also ur hand
the second u gonna feel pain in your joints, and if u are an athlete and do some kind of sport then u simply won’t be able to run like before until the end of the course and plus back pain

u said, "untrue, it just prevents acne returing"
i said it also helps with skin texture.
i didnt say u said that a full dose is recoomended, u said that the only benfit from doing cumalitive is preventing acne coming back, which isnt true.
Fuck hxh, dark continent is never coming out

Yeah this is not true as I said, you get benefits way before that.

If this was the case people would only get good results when they are finished with their course?????

Also what major benefits are you referring to.

major benefits meaning its u never get acne again, fully removing ur pores, super smooth skin and a little bit of scar help.
obviosuly u still get benefits throughout the dosing, works diff for everyone but u could see improvements in the first week.
major is the big stuff, minor is the littler stuff like acne temp going away

Your skin will be best when your on isotret (ofc later stages)
Not when you reach cumulative dose and get off it.

I’m not even sure what we are arguing about- I agree reaching cumulative dose is v important bro:feelsokman:

the standard for most people is 40 mg for 6 months. If that’s too long, 3-4 months can get you the benefits you want
