If I’m 16 on 20mg of accutane for the next 12 months for clear skin will that effect any height/ growth plates I would say I’m a later bloomer and 5’10 currently

this is what google says

Accutane (isotretinoin) can affect bone growth, particularly in teenagers who are still developing, by potentially causing premature epiphyseal closure (early closing of the growth plates). While most commonly linked to high-dose, long-term use, there are rare reports of it affecting teenagers taking standard acne doses.

as long as ur not taking more than 20-30 you shouldnt worry abt it

It's not a large dose, so you're going to be fine, but if you don't want to take any risks, then don't do it if your skin isn't that bad, just use tret + azelic acid

Ok I just didn’t know if 12 months was too long, I may even drop to 10mg in the summer
