yes most people who go on accutane report some degree of permanent dry skin and especially lips and eyes

Constant bloody noses in the beginning, dry skin dry lips dry scalp etc. Big pro is it fixes oily hair types. The biggest side effect though is definitely on the mental side. It absolutely can put you into a horrible headspace but that resolves itself once you stop taking it. As long as you can survive 6 months of nihilism, it’s a miracle cure. Also stick to low doses, large doses may cause stunted growth and organ failure.

I didn’t go on it cuz I was afraid of the side effects. I have some mild scarring that I managed to fix with micro needling. All things considered, I don’t regret not taking accurate. My frame, jaw, and brow ridge grew a lot in my late teens and that probs would’ve gotten stunted if I took accutane.

My brow ridge and jaw still grew while I took accutane, all the studies with stunted growth used insanely high doses (around 60-100mg or more daily). Studies using low dose accutane showed a small improvement in growth in the accutane using group compared to the control. As long as you take around 10mg per day you should be alright, but that’s just speaking from my own experience.
