What are the downsides of Accutane?

My doctor suggested that I get some tests done and start a course of Accutane for 9 months or longer.
What are the disadvantages and side effects of Accutane?
Will my growth plates close, will my growth slow down, and will my final height be shorter?

I am currently 17 years old.

The only side effects will be dry skin/lips and a small chance to damage your liver. There is no way it could close your growth plates or make you shorter.

Nope severe dryness in lips skin and eyes is very common

Take the Accutane. If you have bad acne, it'll change your life. Do low dose (10-20mg a day)
