Acne scars

Been on accutane for 1.5 months, (before and after pic) and have noticed shallow scarring as the inflammation has majorly subsided. Are these scars permanent or will they eventually flatten out over the course of accutane? If not how can I fix this?

That’s pretty normal on Accutane... Once the inflammation goes down underlying texture-scars become more visible. At 1.5 months it’s still wayyyy too early to judge the final result. Some shallow scars and marks can improve over the next few months as your skin heals and collagen remodels, but Accutane itself usually won’t fully remove indented scars. Obviously..

For now just focus on finishing treatment moisturizing well, sunscreen and not picking. If scars are still there after you’re done, treatments like microneedling or laser usually help the most. (Mark as solution)

Generally what I’ve read when researching myself, sounds pretty accurate. What are your opinions on bio oil for healing scarring? Post accutane (probably)
