I just got adapalene perscribed by dermatologist any tips? I asked for tretinoin and my dermatologist insiisted that this is better and newer

i got it aswell, it will definetly help but not as good as tret imo. the first week will burn, make sure to only apply it in the evening and only on the spots where your acne is. i remember my eyes itching for days because i applied it to close to my eyelids. make sure not to touch fabric thats dark with your face, as it will bleach that. dont apply it every evening at first, it will just burn and your skin needs to adapt to it. and the most important aspect is DONT USE TOPICAL MINOXIDIL WITH IT, trust me it burns so bad you dont wanna know, switch to oral minoxidil

yea i used adapalene it didnt do shit only made my skin burnt and it hurt like hell, might be just me tho i have had similiar reactions with all topicals tbf
