Why's it virtually all the surgeries we know and surgeons still perform were perfected in the post WW2 boom and hasn't advanced since? I'm willing to bet there's absolutely no changes to the surgeries themselves or the materials used . The only exception currently in existence are CT scanned custom designed implants, and scarless internal incision techniques. Neither of them are particularly radical nor do they give significantly better results. One thing I have noticed is osteotomies are still rarely performed unless the patient is syndrome tier and the techniques are still the same and have been around for decades. In a world which is rapidly getting shallower and where plastic surgery is essential for a below average looking man to survive, due to the proliferation of women in the workplace and a destruction of dating market due to female hypergamy and dating apps, why is male plastic surgery still ignored and the vast majority of procedures are boob-jobs and anti-aging filler. How's it the field isn't advancing at all? Is there even a future where an unattractive person can become good looking due to cosmetic surgery?
