I got accepted to a top London uni for Maths&Econ and now I’m thinking whether I should go this year or defer it until next year.

If I were to do a gap year I’d probably do some internships in Finance&Banking, volunteering ect which would all boost my CV for the summer internship applications. I’d also looksmaxx and Gymmaxx properly.

I didn’t go gym properly for 6 months and lost a lot of muscle so there was a big trade off to get the best grades.

Go in already, gap years are always a waste of time, specially what you said you were going to do

Only thing is I could do a lot more over an extra year in terms of work and internships leading to more money and connections tbh. I still retain my offer for next year that’s the thing.

unless you already have specific life plans/surgergy plans then go this year (is it LSE)

Pretty lucky I guess, in that sense, in most european countries unis are shit with no reputation and getting into a top one is not only academically hard but in general just a pain in the ass. You are 18 right? I'm 17 and have absolutely zero idea about what to study and whether stay on a regional uni or go to +600 km good unis

It may or may not be. Don’t want to say the uni. Definitely top 3 in London so…

Yeah I could get internships especially over Winter and Spring.

I’d say go to a good uni if you can. What do you want to do in life? For top jobs in finance, consulting, trading, law, uni matters a lot.

I don't think I get it, will you still be able to go there if you take the gap year?

If so, then I don't see a reason not to, honestly.

Yeah I can do some great internships, volunteering, maybe travel ect. Plus I’d have time to decide which career I want to do.

STEM most likely, I don't have connections neither money to go into Finance or Law and not end up getting paid less than a neet. Although maybe in Law you can make it just "by yourself" but I guess it's very hard.

Too bad the whole economy in my country is pretty fucked and if you don't have properties or anyting valueable inherited, moving to the biggest cities where good unis are located means either paying 70% of the average salary on only rent, or living under shit conditions sharing housing with people, 700 km away from your family and friends. A ticket for depression.

And these good unis are not even top 150 lol. Nvm maybe I'm just overthinking at this point, I just don't know how much a relatively good university will help into getting some well paid nice job compared to some average one.

Why not? I don’t lose anything except one year and I’ll make that up with the money I’ll make from the paid internships plus other work?

That’s rough, I’m guessing EE or South America ? If so get your degree and migrate to the states or UK for example.

if you do well in your undegrand/bachelors you can go to a very good uni for your masters and then your undergrad will hardly matter

The problem is London doesn’t pay. Even Bulge brackets pay much less compared to the states for the same amount of work (70-90hrs sometimes)

what do u do in the meantime, i mean how do u manage to find the time to get bimax
im going uni this year and ideally getting mine next summer, obviously ill lose out on some social shit but its worth it for me and i just want it out the way. Thats the only surgergy i need to ascend, anything else is a cherry on top

tbh im not really thinking bout money at that level, dont get me wrong I want to be well off but its not my main priority. My main goal is doing something stimulating, enjoyable and that gives me a good level of status.

thinking diplomancy or law but im studying PPE so the doors are open

Military ( talking about officer or something) or civil service might be a great option.

I want to leave London too but I mean the other cities that specialise in finance or consulting are similar to London ( New York for example). I’d probably just work a few years at a good firm and seek better exit opportunities.

When do you think you’ll be done. I haven’t started yet but I don’t think I need bimax. Probably fillers or implants for jaw angularity and paranasal implants for slightly recessed lf2 area. Otherwise I just need some basic soft maxing and roids.

yea fair, I meant more as in I want to continuosly move around over my life time (internationally not just the west) till i settle down for good but that would likely be in the UK

the only good jaw surgeon ive seen in the uk is Maniolis Helioitis

hes obviously not the best in the world but hes relatively cheap and my movements will be very basic, as im not severely recessed at all, and the luxury of getting to literally just go home to recover instead of being in some shitty hotel is worth it

Does he do bimax for aesthetics ? Everyone here suggests to either go to Italy or Switzerland to get bimax.
