Venting Afraid of Rejection and Afraid of Loneliness

I want to approach people, but I’m just too terrified of being rejected or even worse: being accepted out of pity.

I can talk when it’s useless, like being respectful to adults, or school presentations or anything, speaking isn’t scary. But I’m just too scared of someone being annoyed or disliking me.

People have told me I look good, and I should go get girls, but I don’t think I see what they do, and just don’t have as much confidence in myself as they do.

Idk what I should do. Get more confidence, don’t worry about girls or approaching, or just practice approaching.

Being afraid of rejection will get you nowhere even after you’ve ascended. Better to get used to rejection now so that it won’t hurt that much later on. Plus when striking up a conversation with someone just try to be natural with it and match their energy.

Confidence is just an enabler. Avoiding the risk doesn’t protect it, but it leaves it practically useless.
