these people have crazy success. The sides are just super scary. I'm 22 years old and I don't know if its smart to get on a lifelong treatment like this that messes with your hormones. but damn am I debating

Oral minoxidil is actually not hormonal it just increases the production of some enzyme afaik.
It can be very effective but its a bit of a gamble tbh, works really well for some people and really badly for others.
I'd say you can try a small dose for a couple of month and see where it gets but you have to be super careful and stop or reduce the dose as soon as you notice any heart-related issues.

yes I meant to say "messes with your heart" my mistake. but yea anything that messes with your heart kinda scares me especially since I'm so young and would be taking it for the rest of my life. fuck of course it is too good to be true

I've been using topical minoxidil (5%) for like 2 months now and I respond extremely well to it and luckily also dont get any skin side effects (yet).
However, I must admit I've had days where I had slight discomfort in the left side of my chest.
It was kind of scary but not severe enough for me to quit the drug.
I think its important to know whether you have any hereditary heart problems in your family because that could obviously massively impact the probability of heart side effects.

It doesn’t have any impact on androgenic alopecia though. It’s a growth agonist. You’ll continue to lose hair at roughly the same rate. Denser hair which is great and all but you need to manage alopecia as well.

I just started topical minox and weekly 1.5 mm needling 2-3 weeks ago. Shedding pretty bad but I guess that means I’m responder. Annoying but should be good for the long run. Also on fin tho for alopecia and looking into ru and topical duta

What I was thinking of doing, is getting that insane fast growth from oral for about 2-3 months, and keeping what I want with topical minox

Ok bet. Can you show me some of these oral minox results? Never looked into it bc I heard the risks
I mean just type it in on google theres plenty of people who think its the best and show results. Im not talking about a specific one. I think I'm going to order some oral minoxidil right now and have it at a really low dose

hm I guess that should work but I'm not sure. I think I'm just gonna take oral minoxidil at 1.5 mg (normal is 5mg or 2.5mg) because I read studies that said it won't affect blood pressure and heart noticeably at that dose. and I'm sure it would help my hair a decent amount +facial hair

Got some links? What doses are they taking?
Been on oral min for over a year, absolutely no results. Now I’m kinda scared to go off in case I shed.
Only 30% of people respond iirc
