Just in case you thought in Bonkers Britain we couldn’t get any worse, we have now had our children’s commissioner — whatever the fuck that is — call for the age verification of all Britons using a VPN amid porn ban.

A government spokesperson states there is no plan to truly ban VPNs, but didn’t rule out age verification on them that of which restricted content under the new act succumbs to.

Some hilarious stats are in this article. “Pornography depicting rape of a sleeping person was also seen by 44% of respondents as children.” As well as VPNs being last month’s most downloaded apps in the UK.

A man by the name of Josh Lane has listed several paragraphs about his porn addiction; for what reason? I have no idea. Retard is openly saying he couldn’t stop choking his chode since 14. Muh “happily married”. They’re acting like he witnessed the Malmedy massacre.

You’re not clear in your English. Very ambiguous. Mitigating risks through safety measures, or mitigating the safety measures themselves?

Mitigate the safety measures

VPNs are at their core, a safety measure and taking them away is like telling children to drive without a seatbelt

I knew some people who alleged getting blowjobs in year 6. In fact, someone in my primary school had a video leaked of her doing all sorts of disgrace to herself. I’m talking forcing her dog to lick her out as well as penetrating herself with lipstick. This was in year 6 to 7 I believe.

I refused to watch the video(s).

Children don’t know what they’re doing with them anyway, the company farms their data and sells it to the CCP. The point is that they are trying to push age verification measures upon all Britons because some kids want a little wanky wanky.

The UK is a woke Communist totalitarian dictatorship. 1984 style. It's DISGUSTING. Porn should be banned from society completely. With these "muh age verification laws", it's obvious that they only care about surveillance and control.

Why does politics/a particular government have a problem with what teenagers do on the internet?

There are laws that porn sites must comply with, and there are parents who must monitor their children (if they want to or care), and that's water

I don't understand where "the government needs" comes into all of this?

To what extent can a government intrude into a person's private life, the content they watch, the apps they use and for what purpose, etc.

Due to the effects it has on the youth as they say. They use that 44% of children alleging to have saw rape-reenacting porn as a concern which is fair, but they can simply enforce moderation on the site.

It seems to be built off the idea that porn is a cancerous form of media and harms the youth: many youth claim how it affects them.

I believe there are a couple billion who are thought to be addicted.

Just because something becomes "illegal" or "banned" doesn't stop It's use. It's like prohibition in United States in 1920. They wanted to stop alcohol consumption but it just sky rocketed instead because of lack of regulations. It doesn't solve the root problem, just drives it underground. The only way someone 'beats' porn is if they consciously choose to stop, not because the option was taken away. That's why I think it's better to focus on awareness and discipline rather than enforcement.

I understand your point. My question is, why would you enforce anything then? How would you? You need some form of authority. Where does it end? When it gets into personal matters?

That's the difference crime is enforced because it directly harms others. Porn or any personal vice is just a private choice. Once you start treating personal habits like crimes, you're basically opening the door to policing every aspect of someone's life.

Then, I assume that this government has clear regulations by which..

- They ban alcohol or cigarettes in the country, because ''effects they have on children'', and "the government need" in this direction..

- They banned sugar and any products containing sugar from the country because ''effects they have on children'', and "the government need" in this direction..

- They ban any chemical or biological product from any food that can cause obesity because ''effects they have on children'', and "the government need" in this direction..

- They forbid parents from having access to their children at the first conflict between them because ''effects they have on children'', and "the government need" in this direction..

..and the list can go on and on about anything, but obviously that's just total nonsense

Many things can have many effects on children, that doesn't mean that all of them can be influenced by the government or that any government should do anything about it

This is just goofy at this point, don't young people have parents? Don't parents also tell them not to consume too much sweet, or salty, or alcohol, or cigarettes, or whatever? lol

I disagree with what the government is doing but your comparison is so narrow and basically written that it is hard to even accept this. All of these are not anywhere near as accessible as typing a website into your phone; they’re concerned with the level of it. They weren’t before since it was a small %, but that has since risen. They have done the same with vaping and smoking since their prevalence increased.

You’re incredibly narrow in reasoning. It isn’t so simple as whatever could possibly affect children. It is about what actually affects them on a large scale. We have regulations on a lot of things nowadays including sugar and considering many, including Bundy, report that porn was a motivating power behind their crimes and no one reports sugar as such, it seems obvious which is a larger concern.

What? How is that abuse or crime? You are calling it a crime because of the law you experience now. If you forget about your law currently and think of two consenting adults wanting to commit incest, or one having sex with a corpse, what is the harm done? It’s of course a personal choice.

Incest messes with power dynamics in families and can lead to genetic harm if kids are involved. Necro literally removes consent a corpse can't agree to anything That's why those are abuse. Porn, alcohol, gambling etc don't cross that line they're just vices people choose.

It makes no sense

Almost no government on the planet does this, and those that do, simply ban any site that contains porn in general, and the ''smarter'' adults or young people (top 5% of them) will use VPN and that's it, but the vast majority in the country / young people will not consume porn bc of this, and that's perfectly fine

But this witch hunt of "hey, they're still watching porn through VPNs. Let's block VPNs," but then they'll say they're watching porn through other methods, and they'll still find some option to consume it if they want to or feel the need, it's just dumb..

You can't realistically stop that, or if you do, you can only do it to a certain extent, superficially

That's why I said it. Porn sites should have rules and warnings about age, and parents should monitor children, that's the first barrier that any country has.. whatever happens after that.. you can only do something to a certain extent, as a government, or as whatever..

Everything involves muh power dynamic. This is the same as boss and employee, parent and child, age of your partner. They’re all extents of power; relationships with age gaps or gaps in education would have to be declared as immoral under this. Incest quite literally cannot be declared as wrong under your framework. You just emotively think it’s wrong.

The corpse can’t consent, sure, but neither can a pillow. At the point of death, they are nothing more than inanimate now; you can treat the corpse like you would any inanimate object and there is no harm done.

We emotively feel these are all wrong, but you’re failing to understanding there’s absolutely no reason for it bar emotive nonsense.

Yes. This level of policing is too much and although the level of VPN usage is absolutely above 5% of porn-watchers given how it skyrocketed to the number one downloaded umbrella of apps for the month, it doesn’t mean they need to be regulated.

There are so many loopholes for this sort of thing and they’re not tricky at all. The government is making a tit out of themselves. I said this in the thread I linked in OP, it is an assisted dying bill. Seems intentionally implemented as a soft start to greater surveillance.
