you must've come across 13-14 y olds who pretend to be a no-hoper oldcel.
it makes me cringe, they are just starting to go through puberty, it's just the right time to work on some stuff, and they give up from the start
i believe this is because the content they're exposed to if not the lack of their family and friends' presence in their life
social platforms induce their own negativity and bitterness to children
that's why if i were the parent, I would show extra care to raise my own kid, not let them raise
