never heard of it so had to google seems like its like r/tressless hysteria I doubt its real, and if it is how would it be bad if you just avoid it around the eye area

It's proven to not do this in RCTs Or more accurately most RCTs did not have this as an end point, but some people attribute aging related under eye fat loss to tretinoin. However there are some in vitro (cell culture) studies showing it reduces exppression of PPAR-y (involved in adipocyte growth) BUT these are in vitro, It probably does not do anything meaningful but some cite this along with many. I personally have been using tret for 8+ months with no issues and it's one of the most effective acne treatments.
